Club penguin online offers both old and new versions of club penguin. The old CP is 2008-2010 CP and the new CP is 2013-above. There are a lot of differences, and I'll talk about them here. You can also interact with penguins in both new and old clients if you are in the same server and place.
As you can see, these are all the games in the new client. The old server has most of these games except the elemental CJ's, smoothie smash, puffle launch, and finally pufflescape.
The plaza in new and old client are different too. The old client offers my favorite place, the stage! While the new client has the puffle hotel and the puffle berry mall. You can buy costumes in both the mall and the stage. The puffle hotel is home to the rainbow puffles.
On the left, you'll find the puffle wild where those 4 puffles can be bought. They also come in different colors. On the right, you can find the puffle park. Take care of your Puffles needs there. These two places are exclusive to the new client.
The new client has a school next to the mine. The old client has a recycling center next to the mine.
The mine in the old client is much bigger which is why I like it more. The mine in the newer client, however; has the gold puffle digging site near it.
Lastly, you have the skatepark in the new client. The sports catalog can be found there.
